Will the goats eat all vegetation? Even thorns and ivy?
As long as we can fence it, the goats can clear it. Goats will eat English Ivy, Poison Ivy, Kudzu, and anything else in their way.
How long does it take for the goats to clear my land?
The amount of time it takes for goats to clear land is determined by the amount of vegetation on the property, and the number of goats brought to the job site. One common guideline is that it takes 60 goats ~3 days to clear 1 acre.

Does someone stay with the goats?
In most cases we do not. For larger projects we may have overnight supervision.
When is the best time to rent goats?
Goat land clearing season (in and around Knoxville, TN) is from April 1st until the second frost of the year.
How are the goats contained?
A portable electric fence with deep cycle marine batteries will be set up at the work site.
How long does it take to kill Kudzu?
Anywhere from 3-5 years, with 3-5 grazings each year. Kudzu grows up to 21 feet deep and can weigh as much as 200Lbs, so it can take time to sap the reserve energy.
How long will the job take?
150 goats are capable of clearing one acre in 24 hours, with our current herd size it will take approximately 3 days to clear an acre
Will goats be removed daily?
The goats have water and a shelter set up on site, the goats will stay until the job is finished.
What about predators?
We have livestock guardian dogs, but if necessary someone will stay overnight.
What about cost?
Every job is unique, so every site will have an in person site assesment. A custom estimate will be provided for free.
